I am feeling so much better and I have received so many wonderful cards (to many
to count) wishing me well. Thank to everyone and just to let you know the doctor
has given me permission to work for up to one hour a day of sitting at a
desk....I should be back full time within a few weeks. Thanks again for the
thoughts and prayers.

Surgery Over

The surgery was a success and I am feeling much better. I am still very limited to the amount of time I can sit and craft so it will be a while until I'm Back fully.

Thank you for all the nice cards I have received while being off. They have sure brightened my days.

Saying goodbye for a while....

Saying goodbye for a while....

This has not been a great week. My precious Mother in Law had a stroke early Friday and passed away on Monday morning. We have made either 4 or 5 trips to the southern coast, about 200 miles each way in the last two weeks. With that being said I am scheduled for surgery on my back on the 28th and will not be able to sit and make cards for a while.

I seem to have lost the spark to do them right now. My emotions are so raw that it hurts to think...all I want to do is cry.

Please send your thoughts and prayers to my dear husband and throw one in for me too!!! Love to my online family and friends....

Copic Storage Solution

O M G ----I just received these wonderful shelves from studio 3 solutions  They  are wonderful...they arrived in perfect condition, wraped in bubble wrap, paper and they carefully packed into the box with additional packing paper. If you have a craft room in a multi-million dollar home or in a spot in the garage...these are perfect..They are sturdy, very well made and in my opinion quite reasonable at @16.95 each.... Thank you Tami

At the fishing hole

I thought this was one of the cutest stamps that I have seen. I love how Edwin is just hangin with the fish and is at total peace. Looks like a good thing to do. I was able to create the water by coloring with BG15 then toning it down with B21, then lightened more with colorless marker and drying it with a heat gun.
One of the girls that always refers to us as Mom and Dad is getting married and ask that I make her invites. She wanted something really plain yet with red. This is what I came up with and she is just popping at the seams with happiness. She loves these.

#4 for today

Stamps: Magnolia...Tilda
Paper: night of navy, lovely lilac, white choc. chip
Ink: momento black
Accessories: flower punch, nesties, brads glitter pen  I made this card just because. I crated the texture on the main image panel byfirst coloring the image then with the bigshot, ran it through with an extra silcone pad to make it squish hard against the cutting plate. By doing this the cardstock was pressed into the groves creating the texture. The flowers were made with the Su 3 flower punch

Spring???

Stamps: Magnolia
Paper: pretty in pink, rich razzleberry, white
Ink: momento black,
Accessories: flowers, brads, labels #10 nesties

Cupcake for my cupcake

I made this using a new folder from sizzix. I love the background and it is very user friendly as well as being able to be used for multiple occasions.

I stamped the image at a slight angle then when I mounted it to the card made her appear straight (well somewhat). I used copic markers and the airbrush system for colors and a punch for the decorative sides. The sentiment was stamped in veramark and embossed with white emboss powder,

Tulips for my friend

Paper: pimpkin pie, white, choc chip
Ink: momento black

I love yellows are oranges well all fall colors. I wanted to make it like springtime as today we are suppose to get to 60*. Sorry all you folks still in the cold.

I miss my brother

When I went to visit my brother in New Zealand this last August he had built me this wonderful bench on top of his hill. He also built the steps for me to use ans he knew that I had a tough time climbing hillsides. You cant see it in this picture but looking one way you could see the Pacific ocean and looking the opposite way you were looking right up the Pikowai valley. This area is located south of Auckland about 4 hours and right in the Bay of Plenty..
This morning I opened a lovely envelope from Linda Palmer with this special Tilda image. I airbrushed the scene using just a torn piece of paper to create the land and scalloped circle punch to create the sky....

I miss my brother!!!  I want to go again...

I made this for the challenge on SCS. I was to make a free standing pop-up card. I used this cute Edwin sitting on the branch of an apple tree.

Stamps: Edwin
Paper: choc chip, kraft, white
Ink: momento black
